That song in your head

Sambrasa Trio   “Em Som Maior”   Som Maior Records (Brazil)   (1965)   The only LP by this more influential Brazilian samba-jazz group or Hermeto Pascoal, Humberto Clayber and Airto Moreira (later in Return to Forever).   Great cover!

Sharpie image

“Sounds Funky”   By The Golden Heavies   Parlophone Records   (South Africa)   A Clive Calder production by anonymous studio group playing hits of the days.     Nice hand drawn, magic marker illustration.   Like a school notebook sketch or textbook cover doodle back when I was a kid.

Paradise embossed

“Pa’que pa’ que” and “Sombrero Sao”   Lyra Records from Bolivia     These are beautiful little covers with bright, rich saturated colors.   I don’t know how these were printed, but the ink is thick and textured to the touch.
