Remember Eddie Albert? Green Acres (1965-1971) but also memorable as Cybil Sheppard’s dad in “The Heartbreak Kid” and as the warden in “The Longest Yard”. Anyway, he was always religious and made lots of corny records like this one. But the cover of this one caught our eye.
LSD on Pixie Records. (1966) Written and narrated by Dr. Timothy Leary, PhD., former Harvard psychologist and Messiah of the LSD cult…” “…in Mexico in 1960, I ate seven of the sacred mushrooms of Mexico and within a half hour was spun into a psychological laboratory two billion years old which laughed at my pretentions at predicted knowledge…”
“Explaining Sex To Your Little Girl” “A Common-Sense Guide On Growing Up”.
One of the rarest drug-related records I’ve ever found. “Tripping Out” “Designed to acquaint you with the drug experience without exposing you to it’s dangers” This is from 1970. Each track is a virtual, simulated high of one kind or another. From acid to goofballs to smack and pot. This is a drug education record that tells it like it is man! Straight talk about flipping out. Check out the graphics, illustrations and typography.
Shocking! Turning the Zodiac into a chart of afro-topped couples in sexual positions! Like a black John and Yoko (though clearly not “Two Virgins.”). The best is that this guy’s face is photoshopped onto mandingo’s body. You can listen to some of this here.
Is there a version of this for girls and women?
And quite rare (sorry!).
…do it til your satisfied.
The Jimmy Rowles Sextet in Supersonic Sound on Tampa.
Here’s one of a series of records that visits the red light districts, after hours clubs and pick-up joints of international cities including Hamburg, London, Stockholm, etc. Collect them all. “Your passport to the people and places of pleasure!” Includes a track that promises to let your the sounds of “being in bed with a Tijuana prostitute”
Emmanuel Lewis (born 1971 in Brooklyn, NY) is best known for his title role in the 1980’s television sitcom Webster. He is 4′3″ (1.30 m), which would qualify him as a dwarf. He is a close friend of Michael Jackson. He has a massive collection of 19th Century erotica.
Lewis claims that there is no medical reason for his short stature. He has the voice of a child and is unable to grow hair under his arms or in his pubic region. He acknowledged this fact once and added that “It makes wiping a lot easier.” — Wikipedia
Educational record series from the fifties with great black and white cover shots of kids with their old-time box Victrolas. Soon one of these kids would find an Elvis 78 somewhere and end up on the streets of San Francisco stoned and broke ten years later. Another would be drafted and lost in Viet Nam…
