Chicks dig records

Stupefaction posted this and it got us to thinkin’ that we’d like to have a gallery of girls with records and record players. If you find one please send it in and we’ll add it here!

This is how Mel does it.

Romy Shneider in Boccacio ‘70 digs this record a lot

What a smile!

Nickie says that she’s a “card carrying chick that digs records” and she has a cool site to prove it – Imperfect Like Us.

Here’s one from a new friend – Mel James in New Zealand. She’s a girl and she loves records (and not just the mighty tiny ones!) Thanks Mel.

Thanks to Fred (via Asterisks) for this lovely entry into Chicks Dig Records. Marlene Deitrich here gives us her singular take on this familiar pose and set up.

Marilyn Monroe is dreamy, digging records.

Zooey Daschenel digs records. And we dig her.

Our kind of laptop.
Tiffany and Courtney spinning 7″ records

Play it again, Sam You played it for her, now play it for me.

Megan Fox digs records…oh my god. Mark Seliger photo, Rolling Stone.

This lovely lady browsing in the pop section of her local record store was found at the always entertaining RetroSpace.

This LP-loving, sun-worshipping Playmate Centerfold digs records SO much that she wouldn’t even consider bringing her transister radio to the beach. (And yes, I am disturbed to see such miscare and blatant disregard for the preservation of these LPs)

What the deal with chicks and records on the floor?
They’d handle them like playing with dolls.
I found a big thumb-print on my “Sgt. Peppers” and FREAKED!
That’s why I’d NEVER let my sister touch my records.

Hey Matt – How come I never saw any of these come up in my RSS feed? Whats the deal?
January 13th, 2009 at 9:08 am
I guess “pages” don’t come up – only “posts” ?

The lady up there labelled ‘any requests’ is Candy Barr, who was certainly making me uncomfortable in the late 50s.

What an amazing number of pics of Jayne Mansfield – more than I’ve seen before. Did you know that she had a 41 inch bust and 17 inch waist? (At least, that was her publicity.)
Then Julie Newmar – Batwoman no doubt, but she was Dorcas, one of the ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’, as Julie Newmeyer. (She’s the one who married Benjamin; she became blonde later.)

PS: Thank’s for the powerful photos from Jacob Blickenstaff and his knockout Retro-
Rockette star Cici James! Cici in blue and with her legs airborne reminded me of the 50s Julie London ‘JULIE’ album cover. Father Darth is from Brooklyn NY too and still kicking at… 82-years young. This website is awesome.
