In addition to the groovy, mod-sixties dance cover, this lp from Switzerland (1969) features a cool version of the Mohawks “The Champ” by The Pete Hilger Quintet.

The girl groups of the sixties had so much style and the Marvelettes, one of the great groups of Motown, not only made great soul records (”Here I Am Baby,” “Don’t Mess With Bill,”" Please Mr. Postman,” etc.) they always looked cool.  This best of compilation is from Holland.

This is another photo that has been used repeatedly on covers from different labels around the world.  Guess it’s just that good.  Dig the groovy fashion.

I love finding the same photo or model and photo shoot used on different covers.  Sometimes they are covers from different country that got the photo from some stock photo house.  Sometime it’s the same budget label using the same photo on various releases of their own.  I guess to save money.  Anyway, I’ll show you this cover shot on another lp when I put my hands on it.  This stands on it’s own for style just the same.

Upskirt a go-go
