LP cover lover Tim Robbins writes us:  I wonder if you might happen to know anything about the artist that did this cover art. Or maybe steer me in the right direction?

You got me Tim, but It does say “monogram” on the cover where you’d expect to see the cover graphics credit.  Perhaps that was an illustration house or agency then?  Let’s phone a friend – Anybody out there know?
