Jim Flora was one of the biggest influences on one of my best animation painters, Tim Biskup (www.timbiskup.com), who went on to be one of the bright stars of the Lobrow art movement in Los Angeles. I’d “known” Flora’s work in my jazz sense-memory, but never paid any attention to who the actual artist was or that he really had a ’style.’ But walking into Tm’s office/museum I really saw the work for the first time and have now become an avid appreciator.

Thanks so much for your note. I know Tim’s work and the influence is clear. He shares Flora’s whimsical appeal. Has Tim done any album art?
