should not be categorised under “Chicks with Guitars”…there’s no chick that cover with a guitar. Now, if there were a “transvestites with guitars”….

I think we can safely assume that Betty is on the left and Christopher is on the right. I think it’s also a pretty safe bet that “Don’t Pity Me” is not a cover of the 1965 Peter & Gordon single.

It’s like that Aerosmith song, only in reverse.

Unless of course Chris is short for Christine. I’ve met some ugly Bettys in my time.

This cover just screams for more information.

Chris and Betty were Church of God of Prophecy evangelists from 1940s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s until Chris was killed in a car accident in 1989. They conducted amazing revivals with many souls saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost throughout the southeast US. I was privileged to have had them as friends. Note: Christine turned down many Nashville music offers to serve God in ministry. She could pick her Fender better than Chet Atkins. Amazing musician! Both were selfless, godly women.

FOM: Thank you for the interesting info, and for clearing up Christine’s gender, which isn’t 100% obvious from the cover image.

I never met them, but I knew of these traveling evangelists. “When we get behind closed doors, and she lets her hair hang down. And she lets me know that I’m a man. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors.”

This one is a fake.

Yeah, this is fake. No matter how much you might want to believe it’s real, it’s still fake. Nice try, Internet.
But it is a really good fake, and a pretty funny one at that.

I promise this photo is authentic. I knew of these ladies. They were real and this is their true photo.

“She could pick her Fender” and her Gibson evidently.

F off, he’s a tranny!

Not a fake, apparently. The Rev. H. Christine Miskelly was killed in an automobile accident on 26 dec 1988 at the age of 61 (source: Tampa Bay Times). She had done overseas missionary work in the 1950s.
