This “DJ” was in fact Dutch comedian Wim Kan, he died in 1983.
On this live recording from 1961 he tells his audience repeatedly that he really, really loves the smooth classical piece “Souvenir Humoresque” from composer Dvorak.
But, very very important; only when it is played by a violin and absolutely not by a trumpet. He doesn’t like trumpet, it’s much too loud, screamy etc.
What follows is that he puts the “Souvenir Humoresque” violin record on, and tells his audience that he wants them to listen very,very quietly. Otherwise they won’t enjoy this beautiful music enough.
Wim Kan himself then keeps quiet for a few seconds or so. Then he starts a big monologue, all through the music of his favorite record, about this dumb guy from the record store who had the nerve trying to sell him a trumpet version of “Souvenir Humoresque”. Wim Kan gets agitated again about this situation and keeps talking louder and louder about why he prefers the violin above the trumpet.
Then suddenly he yells : “Can anyone turn off that record, I can’t even hear my own words, with all that terrible noise !!”
