Put the boogie in your butt
Kool & The Gang “Spirit of the Boogie” De-Lite Records (1975) Great funky instrumentals from the band that James Brown once said was the funkiest of its time. Check out the title cut here! A follow-up of sorts to their hit of the previous year, “Jungle Boogie.” This one opens with a Sly and the Family Stone riff and moves into a Jimmy Castor-type groove.

Not to be stupid here, but is that suppose to be a woman’s reproductive system in the center? There’s like this Aztec growing straight out of it with two faces emerging from the Aztec’s butt. I guess the outer circle is suppose to be the female bootay with a man and woman appearing on each respective buttock. There is a brown inner circle reminiscent of embossed chocolate bars…uh, is this suppose represent ordered refuse leaving a woman?
Either I am really confused or this is just a stream of mushness. Or both.
