Beautiful lp cover enclosing some Mingus’s greatest music. I have worn out this album.

Agreed, great record and a subtle joke. According to the biography by Brian Priestley, the title is to be read as if Ming- was a latin verb and these are the various forms:

One of the best jazz records ever made. I practically wore this album out when I was at college. Boogie Stop Shuffle is a standout track.
