Who knows what evil lurks?
Italian EP by Franco Trincale on Fonola Records (1972) I just found this on YouTube. Crazy. What is he singing about? I’m afraid to know.

Franco Trincale has been called the “Italian Woody Guthrie”. He is a busker and he often bases his songs on current events. Of late, he had been poking fun at Berlusconi.

He’s singing about a heartbreaking but true story.
Three little girls kidnapped and killed in Marsala (Sicily). Antonella (11), Ninfa (7) and Virginia (9) went missing on oct 21, 1971. Antonella was found dead on the 26th, and the two other girls on nov 9th.
Antonella’s parents were working as laborers in Germany at the time, and had left the child in the care of grandparents.
The “Monster of Marsala” turned out to be Antonella’s uncle.
