I seem to remember reading that decades ago, there was an occasional practice of marketing Black records in separate sleeves for stores in Black or White neighborhoods in some areas in the U.S. Record sleeves shipped to White stores hid the fact that the musicians were Black. It looks like we have an example of that here: interesting!

aren’t the platters more of a doo-wop group than a rock and roll? i guess i think of them more as a group you would slow dance to.
