Does it have to be one or the other, or can it be…booff?

It’s almost certainly “Avec Les Oreilles” (with the ears). The “O” in “Boof” is the “O” in “Oreilles”.

MONIQUE THUBERT is a sub-Brigitte Bardot.
‘Avec Les Oreilles’ (with the ears) is one side and ‘boof’ the other.
‘Boof’ is ‘bof’ said slowly (like ‘faaaaar out’).
‘Bof’ is an expression. It means that you’re not very enthousiastic about what have just been said. It’s an attitude, you are cool and you don’t care.
It is translated by ‘hmm / not so good’ but the meaning is different.
With the ears (listen to it in a site dedicated to the ‘flop’ records, the ones who didn’t worked at all : http://www.bide-et-musique.com/song/6966.html and http://www.bide-et-musique.com/song/6967.html ) :
Your orchestra is so cool !
Who said that we can’t imitate the english people ?
Wow, you’re rocking well for your age.
And you got a great gimmick (in English), too. I never saw the same before.
If I had your record, you know what I will do ? I’ll break it to get an other one. Ha ha.
So you’re just like me, you play with your body, your hips, your mouth. Oh, it’s hip.
As a matter of fact, the only thing you don’t use is your ears. Ha ha ha.
    ‘Boof’ :
She said : Goodnight. Hi. Well, your place is so great. Super extra. Ha ha.
    He said : Boof.
She : I don’t know what it is doing to you, but your record is fabulous… Will you make me danse ?
    He : Boof.
She : Oh, it is so hot here. I leave my coat. You hold me too tight. I can’t breathe. I take my shoes off, ok ?
    He : Boof.
She : You dance so well. With me, it is not very easy. Ha. Some said that it is very hard to dance with me. It’s true, it makes you think about something else.
    He : Boof.
She : Oh, it’s too bad, look, my dress is scratched. Oh, it’s so funny, I don’t have any dress at all. I’m just wearing my watch.
    Oh, it’s so great.
    He : Boof.
