   Prominent composer, who also has an award named after him. If you hear the long-running BBC radio program, “My Word!” (we Yanks can hear the show on NPR stations), the theme is an Ellis composition. The “companion” show to “My Word!”, “My Music”, featured themes by the host of that show, pianist Steve Race. Race wrote the liner notes for Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five”.
