Here’s a free range chick
This just in from Eric Carpenter: Hey, I’ve been meaning to send this for a while for the “Chicks Dig Records” section (I enjoy regularly). It’s my daughter, actually, but she was only one year old at the time, and she’s three now (showing you how long I’ve been putting off sending it. lol.) Anyway, enjoy!

it also looks like the little one likes “parsley, sage, rwosemary and thyme” and “the beatles”…i can’t make out the other two Lps. she does rather seem to have eclectic taste in music for a 1-year old!

Not exactly obscure LPs here: Steely Dan’s “Can’t Buy a Thrill” under the White Album and Wings; “Chicago Transit Authority” between Belafonte and Simon & Garfunkel. FWIW, I also listen to “Wild Life” and particularly dig “Mumbo” – Take it, Tony!

We try to keep the $$$ records at least 4 feet off the ground so the little ones won’t….. depreciate the value? You should see what her crib looks like? No doubt a very sweet picture and ‘Tikes Dig Records’ too.

george harrison once said mccartney’s track “bip bop” was one that he had “trouble relating to.” pity the CD didn’t include “give ireland back to the irish” (don’t make them have to take it away!) as one of the bonus tracks. see

for some great shots of its PS.

The white one is a sleeve. LOL. These records have no real value, except that we enjoy them as a family. If they were that valuable, I wouldn’t have been playing them on my little portable (seen at top). We basically own them to enjoy them. I’m glad everyone likes the pic though. Steely Dan, CTA, Belafonte, Elvis, Wings, S&G….very nice snags, everyone.

Thanks for the pic Eric. Makes me think it’s time for another “name that cover” contest!

Thanks to LPCL over the last 18 months, our vinyl retro additions have increased from 500 records to a mere 4,000! Thank God for LPCL and yard sales and estate sales, Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift $HOP$ and of course, dumpster diving and curb-side … stop and go’s on trash day!
