The drawing of the cat swinging the club (as opposed to a cat swinging in a club?) was “swiped” from Preston Blair’s textbook on animation, published by the Walter Foster company. (The spikes, however, were not included.) Blair was a veteran Hollywood animator who had worked for Walt Disney, “Tex” Avery, and Walter Lantz.
