Despite the unfortunate cover to this album, Uncle Al was a Cincinnati icon (he passed away last year) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Uncle_Al_Show.

I grew up watching Uncle Al as a child in Cincinnati. Very popular kids show, lasted many years. Cincinnati had a lot of locally produced shows for kids.
Larry Smith was a popular puppeteer in Cincinnati who also had a TV show, “Larry Smith’s Puppets” or something similar. When I started my career as a children’s entertainer, I had a chance to work with Larry Smith for a few live shows he did at a mall. Nice fellow. Fun memories.
