Send in the clowns
Tony is the undisputed king of the clown covers. Here’s an amazing example – Brazilian popular clown Carequinha, in a flying saucer! It’s great when categories cross-pollinate (where do you file this one?).

Ah, Carequinha (“Baldie”…). Um clássico. Passed away recently, aged over 90, I guess. Always telling us what to do (“A good boy won’t wet the bed, a good boy always listen to what mommie says…”, he would sing.) But I don’t think he is setting a good example to that mini-me Carequinha seating in that creepy madman’s lap.

“Propaganda” = “Promotional”. I am pretty sure this was not meant as a communist allegory, but note the hammer on Carequinhas “left” leg, representing repression of the proletariat, along with the flask and pipe, a subtle critic to religion (the opiate of the masses).

Three clowns and an angry dude in space. Phreaky!
