    Also called Guayo, Guira, Ghicharo, Rayo i believe

    didn’t know there was an umlaut in güiro- some sort of norwegian death-latin instrument

    Hehh hehh.

    NB- ’tis not shaken but rather ‘raked’ with a stick. I guess ‘Rake that Thing’ is less spectacular.

    Thanks for the correction and the Steely Dan reference — I’ve heard it a thousand times and not known. Hmmm, I guess I do need a new title.
