Label it under “Brazil”. It reads “Italian vacations”.
The illustration was made by Péricles, a very well-known cartoonist from the 40’s/50’s with a cynical verve. He committed suicide by opening the gas tap and, as a last joke, put a sign on the door reading “Please do not light matches”.
Péricles’ most famous character is “Amigo da Onça” (“Jaguar’s Pal”), a suave guy always giving malicious advices. On this piece he advises Nat King Cole to stage a concert in Cape Town (at the peak of the Apartheid regime).
