   The band you refer to is not called “Cock” but “Cock Sparrer” (cockney for “Cock Sparrow” – it means “mate” or “chum” and is most likely cockney rhyming slang, although I can’t work out the exact method behind the rhyme here).

   The gent on the cover died of a heroin overdose in the 80′s, I can’t recall his name but I seem to recall reading back then that he was a one time bodyguard for the head of Britain’s racist political party the National Front.
