Sounds of the Flintstones, Huckleberry Hound and Yogi Bear! 90 tracks including Ka-bam, Boing, Squish, Jibberish on phone, Hi granny, That smarts and other (very short) classics. Long before you could download ring tones! If you like old and new cartoons, check out Frederator.com.

    I’m jealous!

Do you know if all of the 90 tracks have been re-edited on the Rhino 4 CD box set “Hanna-Barbera’s Pick-a-nick basket”?

Hi Aldi, thanks for checking out my site. I haven’t cross-checked but that Rhino set is pretty cool! I’ll be posting my collection of Hanna Barbara lps — they looked great framed on the wall in my office. Check back for those soon.

So Matt, my buddy (and partner to be) and I used this LP in college radio to make wacky promo spots. 20 years later, out of nowhere, I became the president of Hanna-Barbera, as you know. You probably don’t know that the first project I initiated when I got there was a new release of the SFX library [http://www.sound-ideas.com/hb.html]. It took three years, but it’s probably one of my proudest moments at the studio.

Here’s my essay in the library booklet about the process: http://bit.ly/CrYQ

That’s too cool Fred. You never mentioned it. I just went to check out the Sound Ideas set — it looks great and its so fun to hear El Kabong’s guitar hit and Muttley Biting Dastardly on the Butt. Was it $500 when you first release it? I guess it’s really for radio or professional use? I bet you don’t still have the record … do you?! Were you involved with the Rhino set “Hanna-Barbera’s Pic-a-Nic Basket of Cartoon Classics?”

Does anybody have a copy or know where I can purchsse the LP set: “The Hanna Barbera Library of Sounds?” I believe it was a 7 set series and it did contain sounds from H-B not included on the Sound Ideas CD set.

I’d love to find a copy of this record. I tried a couple of times but failed on eBay.
I do have the 5-disc Sound Ideas set, and the earlier “Hanna-Barbera Library of Sounds” set as well.

My father worked at our local radio station in the 60’s and I think that this is a record that they had. I, too, would like to have a copy. Is it available anywhere? Thank you for your time.
