Danny Partridge’s solo album

lps-for-blog-4-012.jpg

Danny Bonaduce, the child star of the Partridge Family, now an LA radio show dj and reality show oddball. Here’s his own lp circa 1970 at the height of the show’s popularity. Just because David Cassidy could have hit records didn’t mean Danny could, but MGM couldn’t resist that face I guess.

Lenny and Squiggy Sing

lps-for-blog-4-013.jpg

A spin off product from the hit seventies TV series “Laverne and Shirley,” Lenny and Squigley made this forgettable record by “Lenny and the Squigtones.” Lenny is Michael McKeon of “Spinal Tap” fame. Squiggy is David Lander who cut his comedic teeth with McKeon (and Tap co-star Harry Shearer) as a member of the comedy troupe “The Credibility Gap” which put out a few records in the late sixties and early seventies.

The Green Hornet

lps-for-blog-4-009.jpg

The Green Hornet (1966-67) was one of my favorite shows as a kid. With the young Bruce Lee as Kato. The swinging, soundtrack is by the great Nelson Riddle. The original theme song played by Al Hirt was used in tribute to Lee in the climactic fight scene of Kill Bill.
