Michel Magne exotica

magnefr.jpg

This French pressing and cover art of Tropical Fantasy is much more colorful and exciting that the US version (even though the rare stereo US covers have a little 3-D flicker of hands on a bongo!). The music is early sixties exotica by Michel Magne who did the music for many French movie soundtracks among other things.

Ooooooh Waaaauw

wha.jpg

I love finding the same photo or model and photo shoot used on different covers.   Sometimes they are covers from different country that got the photo from some stock photo house.   Sometime it’s the same budget label using the same photo on various releases of their own.   I guess to save money.   Anyway, I’ll show you this cover shot on another lp when I put my hands on it.   This stands on it’s own for style just the same.
