“Dream” with the Elliot Lawrence Orchestra. Aptly on the Fantasy Records label. The typography, the lighting, her figure and the spareness of the room all add up to a kind of simple elegance on this cover.
An album of emotions, including the classics (“Love” and “Hate”) as well as the seldom heard “Gay”, “Frustration” and (my favorite) “Hysteria”.
Cover image by the great photographer Paul Huf (1924- 2002) of Holland. Design by Van Borssum. Phillips Favourite Series. The woman is Huf’s muse and singular model for all the covers in the series – British model Ann Pickford.
Peter Lauch put out this series of albums in Germany called Sex Magazin (this is #2). They were deluxe gatefold numbers with big, colorful nude photos inside.

(1964) Funky organ jazz originals by Patterson including the title cut, “Sister Ruth” and”Donald Duck.” Also covers of Earl Hine’s “Rosetta” and the Drifters’ “Under the Boardwalk.” Alto saxophonist Leonard Houston and drummer Billy James join the romp. The cover features a hip, young sister skippin’ round the Flat Iron Building in NYC.
