I actually remember having this. Never mind eh?

I well remember these K-TEL albums. You could not have grown up in Canada in the 70s and 80s and not avoid them. K-TEL was a marketing company that sold, well, practically anything. There are a number of great SCTV skits lampooning K-TEL, complete with the loud obnoxious announcer.

One of the best! I still have mine (Canadian, though, so there are a couple of different songs) and pick these up whenever I find them in people’s junk piles. They’re fun to stack on the changer and let ‘er rip all afternoon while you clean or whatever.

Dynomite, Fantastic, Music Power, Superstars Greatest Hits…i know they’re in the closet somewhere…K-tel managed to edit down “hocus pocus” by focus to about 37 seconds.

K Tel got around a lot of copyright infringements by editing a few seconds here or there off songs. They also compressed the Hell out of them in order to fit so many on one side.
