Just a couple of comments and an observation. First I highly recommend Goo Gone for removing thrift Store stickers. Second, I had the good fortune to discover a collection of Czech Country albums from the 70s and 80s, the groups were Fesaci, KTO and Zelenaci.
I am not a big fan of Country, however the utter strangeness of hearing known songs in a foreign language with a bizarre arrangement has made for some great listening.
Finally, I searched the interweb to find out about this ” Phenomena “, and from what I understand, this music was a form of Political protest. The ruling Communists did not approve of Western (ie American) music forms. And these musical groups performed under difficult circumstance, without the support of the big Communist record companies and lack of airplay on radio.
Thanks for the great Website !
