A “Doose” Of Rock ‘n Roll? I can only assume that this EP is from late 1976, when Ringo Starr had a minor hit with a tune entitled “A DOSE Of Rock ‘n Roll.” The Boston and and Bee Gees tunes were also hits that year. I have no idea what actual title “It’s Long Way There” is a mangling of…And your guess is as good as mine regarding what Jack The Ripper, Jimmy Page, Speed Racer and Father Guido Sarducci have to do with any of these songs.
that montage is made up of scenes from “the song remains the same” film, the horseman is from john paul jones’ fantasy sequence, the drag racer is john bonham. the jet is the one shown at the end of the film, the limo from the arrival in NYC. the suits are peter grant and his henchman from the film’s first scene.
