Pain in my heart

“The Big Hurt”   Miss Toni Fisher  Signet Records (1957)  The Big Hurt’ was written by the L.A. singer’s husband Wayne Shanklin. The song went to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Notable because it featured phasing effects, and is claimed to be the first song to do so.  Feeling bad?  Take a teary stroll through our “The Big Hurt” section.
