Taking stock

“Um Natal Tranquilo e Prospero”   1966   This is a strange one indeed.   A guy alone with his stocks and bonds on Christmas.   Yet he’s satisfied with just his pipe and his prosperity.   Why is he dressed as Santa?   He looks like he just pulled off a heist.   Maybe he dressed as Santa for his Wall Street Christmas party and stole everyone’s bonuses.

@ Vjesci – You score 20 points for catching a reference so obscure I didn’t think of it. (In fact, although I’m familiar with e.e. cummings’ poetry, I didn’t know he was an artist as well!) I learned something new today, and you just made this strange LP cover even stranger…

Looks like Hugo-A-Go-Go Chavez too, si senor? “Feliz Navidad?” What would Jose Feliciano think? Forgive me, but the three hours of shoveling snow (18″) during our global warming has completely exhausted my senses… Ha$ta La Vi$ta Wall $treet!

Hmm, looks like those infamous gifts companies would give their “associates” by the end of the year. I guess there’s no printed logo so it looks generic enough to serve as a gift by all sorts of financial institutions.
I also reckon that this guy is oh so happy with his stocks and deeds because he ponders on how having taken part of the military Coup in Brazil 1964 has paid off and how his commie-ridden 1966 will be oh so prosperous.

This fat cat Santa (Banks/Wall Street) sets contently knowing he has had his cake and ate it to… Thanks to the hard work from his crooked little elves Chris Dodd and Barney Frank and the rest of the criminal elves from
    the “District Of Corruption”.
