During many years of Franco’s spanish dictatorship, super-hero comics and movies were forbidden. Catholic values were supported by the dictator, and only bible caracthers and saints may had unusal powers. Only in the last sixties Marvel comics where published in Barcelona and Superman Comics were imported from Mexico. That was all until Franco died. In 1978 Superman movie come and Spiderman cartoons and Hulk series soon were broadcasted on TV.
