Editor: I have a hunch this might be some sort of foreign record. (It’s like a have a sixth sense with that sort of thing).

“I Will Trap You In My Web” by Erotic Spider Girl. Clearly.

Ok, that won’t be of much help, but the songs titles are:

    Red: Wonderful affectionate thief

    Green: Silver colored imperial robe

    Blue: Give me a kiss

I can’t figure out what her name is, the characters (in Taiwanese or Singaporean fashion) are quite rare. The second line says simple “song”.

If someone out there in the CoverLover world could check this I would appreciate.

Her name is Chen Bao Zhu. Her given name Bao Zhu means “precious pearl” and Chen is one of the most common surnames in China.

The green title should be Golden instead of “Silver colored”.

Thanks Beirne. I always mistake silver for gold (it’s a second-place complex I guess). “Chen” in simplified characters is not that different, but “bao” is a complete other thing. Where’s she from? Does her singing sound as good as she looks?

She turns out to be from Guangdong, China. Here Wikipedia page in English is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connie_Chan_Po-chu.

Yeah, this is Connie Chan, one of the top idols of Cantonese cinema in 1960s Hong Kong. This looks like a compilation of her film songs. The LP cover image comes from the 1968 film Four Gentlemanly Flowers. Here’s a review from my Connie Chan fansite:

You can see some more of Connie Chan’s album covers and hear some of her songs at Tofu magazine’s Asian Beat feature:
