   I don’t think she would mind the joke: I interviewed Elizete, shortly before she died and she was tough and good humoured. She came from a very poor background and was a house maid before working on a Dance Hall as a private dancer (yeah, like Tina Turner, she’d do what you’d wanted her to do). She turned into a diva (but not with the squeamishness) and recorded some deep tracks (my favorite is “Modinha”, here is it with Maria Bethania: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?i=203371935&id=203371913&s=143441)
