The great Leapy Lee! Pye Records. (Courtesy of Kerstan Reineke of Germany)
Looks like he’d been jabbed by too many “Little Arrows”!
Leapy did manage to get backed by The Kinks doing a Ray Davie’s composition called “King Of The Whole Wide World”, thus redeeming himself.
I have another Leapy LP, always with bad hair.
Sadly, “Little Arrows” overshadowed the fact that he had a pleasant voice. “It’s All Happening” was issued in the USA by Cadet Records.
His version of “If I Ever Get to Saginaw Again” is very good. His version of “Harper Valley P.T.A.” is very “why-is-a-man-from-the-UK-covering-this”?

A slight resemblance
