A well-peeled FAX Records 6019

img_0507.JPG

“Torrid tid-bits of sexopathic humor…” from Bert Henry one of the bold and bawdy adult comedy “artists” featured on labels like Fax, Adam and Davis. “Side-splitting stag party humor…you’ll blush, you’ll scream, you’ll applaud, you’ll delight and amaze everyone at a party with this greatest of all party records!”

These records all featured busty nudes on the cover and were sold with stickers over the girls’ breasts. Many were peeled off in a hurry tearing the sleeves. Finding a complete series with no damage or residue is a challenge and as you can see rewarding. Made in the U.S.A.

The Three Stooges

img_0480.JPG

From 1959 on Golden Records (a subsidiary of Bell).   I have a handful of Three Stooges lps and a bunch of 45’s from around the world.   Always a kid’s favorite (and some too devoted adults too.)   Nyuck, nyuck.

Lenny and Squiggy Sing

lps-for-blog-4-013.jpg

A spin off product from the hit seventies TV series “Laverne and Shirley,” Lenny and Squigley made this forgettable record by “Lenny and the Squigtones.” Lenny is Michael McKeon of “Spinal Tap” fame. Squiggy is David Lander who cut his comedic teeth with McKeon (and Tap co-star Harry Shearer) as a member of the comedy troupe “The Credibility Gap” which put out a few records in the late sixties and early seventies.

Before Young Frankenstein

lps-for-blog-2-015.jpg

Wow, in the swinging sixties London even Marty Feldman was a playboy. (My copy got water damaged yesterday when a pipe in the apartment above me burst. This really hurts. Hence the “wanted” tag if you see another copy.)

Adult entertainment

color-me-hot.jpg

This is a beautiful example of a vintage 1950’s burlesque, stripper lp. It’s on a mirco label Maestro and is signed by the “artist”. The graphics are great.
