The meek shall inherit an elixir of youth, too. Poor little chubby darling…
Not really meek, if you consider the price of this deluxe caravan model in the 50’s.

I like to imagine this as a before and after thing. The bottom is before, the top is after. Seriously, the car changes, and so do the people. They get old and fat, and 3rd appears.

So cool to find this site! I am a long time collector of incredibly-strange LP covers. This LP cover meeks for itself!
There’s a guy in the Seattle area who had thousands of LPs. One wall was just religious LPs. Among those he had a few sub-categories. One was Big Hair, another Bad Fashions, and another one was Groups With Their Tour Buses.
The Meeks LP cover tells me that a great category would be LP covers that include cool cars, trailers, tour buses, etc.

I sure dig the Airstream trailers on this LP! They look like early 1970’s Airstream Land Yachts.

Actually you guys the bottom picture is of my parents and they don’t live in a trailer. They are currently in their late 50’s still together Pastoring and inner city church in Houston, Tx. Their church is the only one who volunteered as a red cross shelter when hurricanes katrina and rita devastated the gulf coast the last few years. They are selfless good people who love God and share His kindness with those in need.
The top picture is of My father’s parents and Sister who all traveled together as “The Meeks Family” ministering through music at different church’s and revivals all over the U.S.
The Cars and Airstreems were donated by my mothers father who was a famous race car driver and could afford to bless this family. Traveling and ministering on the road did not pay well, but thats not why they did it anyway. Its fine to insult the look of the cover but please don’t personally insult the people in it. Thanks – Harrison Meeks

Randall – I’m sure that the entire Meeks clan were good and caring folks. For all here, let me say there’s no harm intended. Thanks for commenting.

Randall – I tried to contact your parents a year ago to find out more about this photo. I thought it might be an interesting story for an Airstream magazine that I have done some writing for. Your post makes me even more interested in their story and their history as a traveling music family and their mission work today. If you’re interested, perhaps the owner of this website could give you my contact information.

@ MarciaH that would be great. Also the church’s web address is http://www.lindalechurch.org really an easy way to get a hold of them.
