    Hey! Treynor Iowa Respect!

Denise used to sing at events around town which had about 1000 people when I lived there. Her name is Denise Klahn. That photo was taken by my next door neighbor Dennis White who has a photo studio there.

Not the greatest album cover and I thought about this album cover the first time these covers made stumbleupon.

Anyways, word to treynor IA. I was the best drummer that ever came out of Treynor Iowa. Heck yeah. Also I was the student body president. That’s right bitches.

Denise is my cousin and she was born blind along with other health complications. She lived a happy and positive life, she had a great sense of humor. She used to teach music at all the local schools and she traveled around singing at churches and other events. She passed away in her early 30’s.It was a very sad moment in my life. I used to visit her all the time, she taught me how to play the piano. I will forever miss her.

Amber, unfortunately sometimes we forget that the people on these covers are real people with families and feelings themselves. We apologize for any hurt that our joking may have caused.

    i appreciate the kindness.

(most blind people’s eyes look this way because of their condition. thats why like ray charles and every other blind person i can think of wears sunglasses and usually as a kid growing up they are taught to wear them all the time. but in denise’s case growing up she was blind but she could still see light and darkness and even a few hints of color. so she never wore sunglasses to hide her eyes. But unfortunately over time her eye sight completely went away)

Amber, would you happen to know where I could acquire your cousins album? I’m really interested in hearing her vocal talents [as I read on the net, in her online obituary, that she had some pretty good vocal and piano skills]. It would be much appreciated, thanks. :)

im not sure to be honest. i use to have some casettes of her music but with me moving so much being a military wife i think most of them were left behind at my mothers. All the music collections that her mother had went out to everyone in the family. ill have to ask my aunt (denise mother) and get back to you on that. theres one song she always sang when i was a child that i loved and i would really like a copy of it too.

Amber, if you have a cassette, I have a Marantz CDR700 that can preserve it to CD for you forever.
