Don’t try this at home

One of the joys of album cover design during the golden age of the fifties and sixties was the freedom that designers had to do crazy things.   Here’s another example of that “hey I got an idea – let’s do it” attitude.   Steve Allen (at the Wurlitzer Electric Piano!)   “Electrified Favorites” from the guys at Coral.

    Hey Dudes,

    This cover model did a lot of work in the 50’s and early 60’s.I’ve seen him on many Ray Coniff covers and a few buget label covers as well. Perhaps his greatest cover is Pedro Garcia’s “Tropical Cruise” on The Audio Fidelity label.
