Coffee talk
“When I want to know the social character of a city, I go where the people drink. In Paris, it’s the cafà ©. In London, the pub. In Rio de Janeiro, it is without a doubt the botequim, the little corner bar that is a local institution, as immortalized in the Noel Rosa samba “Conversa de Botequim.” (more at the bootsnall travel website)

Isn’t that Hitler as the bartender?

HA-HA! Yeah, that does looks like ol’ sweaty Hitler… and there’s Stalin with his hand in the till and ready to put the knife in that guys back… after he’s paid of course. Is that really a drop of sweat from Hit’s head… or did he put on a little too much of that greasy kid stuff. Maybe he’s sweating because he thinks this guy at the table might be a Fed. … not by the way he’s dressed but buy the way he tips… who drinks coffee at a bar anyway? … unless you happen to be on duty… maybe Hitler just don’t like serving “colored” people. 😉

They called him “Kid Morengueira†in Brazil. It’s a famous samba singer of old generation.
