“Sounds to Make You Shiver” is a very nice old and rare record from my collection. Best regards, Joyceln

Here’s a nice alternative cover to the one I have posted of the same name. Also on Soma Records. Check out Jocelyn’s nice blog of Halloween records!

“Adventures in Music” RCA Victor. A box of three classical music 45’s produced to introduce second graders to the wonders of music. Every school used to have these boxey record players in classrooms and the library too. And just look at the fun that they’re having. Circa 1960.

Tied and true

Jason in Massachusetts writes: “This album caught my eye at a tag sale so I bought it. I found it sexy and classy. From the title track “Come Saturday Morning” I got the impression the work week is done and now it’s time for pleasure (wink), and I imagined her weary husband/lover sleeping in late and she wakes him up, and when his eyes come into focus she is standing there with just his neck tie around her neck and the weekend gets off on the right track. PS-I love the site!”
