A beautiful, first issue of the Decca Records UK release of Van Morrison and Them LP “Them Again”  Decca LK 4751 (1966)  Original UNBOXED red Decca label and in the original FLIPBACK cover.  Cool cover photo of Van (barely a man).  This was released on Parrot Records in the States.

“This is Surfin’ ” Wipe Out  The Surfaris  Dot Records (Japan)   Maybe with the Ventures, the Surfaris and their drum crazy hit “Wipe Out”were the most popular of the sixties surf scene.  This is a cool and unique cover only issued in Japan.  (Is that Sandra Dee on the cover?)

Motley crew

The Joyful Heirs  “I Found a Treasure”  A custom pressing from Cincinnati circa late sixties (?)  I’ll let you take in the wonderful faces, hairstyles and clothes of this “group”  Who was listening to this when the radio was playing The Stones, Dylan, The Beatles, Janis, The Doors, Creedence, The Band, Motown, James Brown, Otis Redding … you get my point.  Anyway, Tony is the one who found this “treasure”!

Hands off my girl!

IMG_2257

A nice addition to my collection of “Jennifer” records for my best girl (gifted by my best bud LPCL Tony)!  Bobby Sherman sings this one!  Metromedia Records.  Remember him?  Maybe it was Jennifer after “Julie, Do You Love Me?” said no?  I was a fan of “Here Come the Brides” on TV as a kid too.
