We love to showcase examples of homemade album covers just like this one.   Whoever this DIY, cover art iconoclast was, he or she wanted to improve on the packaging of this run-of-the-mill record by the Ray Charles Singers.     Using just scissors, paste and pen (and the cut-up of a nude Jayne Mansfield), the result provides a personal, yet universal, response to the title, “Things To Do On A Rainy Night”.   Thanks to Will at ShowandTellMusic for showing this one-of-a-kind find.

“Regalame esta Noche”   Mozart Brandao e suo Orquestra   RCA Victor (Brazil)

This cover is so great, they actually put the same full photo on the back as well.   No writing anywhere.     We might be asking for trouble, but there’s a free LP Cover Lover T-shirt for the best caption submitted by November 4th.

“Sex and Sin of Frankfurt, Germany”   Your passport to the people and places of pleasure!   Recorded live in Frankfurt.   One of the “Cities of the Night” series of L.R. O’Conners perverted Tourist Guides.

“Western Music”   Musik die sich jeder leisten kann

Crown Records Japan

#5 in Fax Records’ Stag Party Record Series “Off Limits featuring Wild Service Songs”   These were sold with strategically placed strips of tape which in many cases were removed hastily and often left marks.   There are a few series of these adult comedy records with collectible nude covers (put out by Fax, Davis and Adam for example).   Not much to listen to, but favorites for cover lovers around the world.
