Gilberto Sextet “Yes, I Will”  Tico Records  (1969)  A nice latin, boogaloo, gospel-tinged anthem of optimism and empowerment (think Lee Dorsey’s “Yes, We Can” ).  Reminds me a bit of Jimmy Cliff in some way too.

   this is pretty good music here, but not *too* gospel — they counted the number of band members correctly.

   Actually they didn’t count the members correctly. A sextet has six members, these guys are seven. That makes it a septet.
