Very subtle! Domenico Modugno, whose big hit was “Volare” (original “Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu”) in 1958. Along with “Volare” (in Italan), “Sukiyaki” (Japanese) by Kyu Sakamoto and “Dominique” (French) by the Singing Nun (both 1963) were all #1 Billboard hits.
