“Sapo Astronauta” Reginaldo Bessa / Esther Glanzer (1969) Brazil I know this is a children’s record but not much more. Perhaps one of our friends in Brazil can shed some light on the music inside.

“The astronaut frog”. I don’t have to say about it. But internet says it’s composed and produced by some Reginaldo Bessa (“for the children of the new world”). Not a great star, has been around since Bossa Nova days. He writes jingles nowadays. The only bell his name rings to me is that I noticed his name on a club in Ipanema which stands on the supposed spot where Jobim wrote the “Girl from…”. Not a word about his partner and singer, Esther. Great cover art, though.
