Philco was the electrical divison of Ford. They produced the wiring, electrical components and radios installed in Ford cars and trucks. In the 1960s they branched out into a short-lived consumer products line.
Where I work, we just had to replace our Philco/Ford refrigerator (a tasteful Harvest Gold). After about 35 years, it finally gave out.

Wasn’t Philco the original contractor that built the Mission Control Room at the Johnson Space Center?
