David Whitfield  “Alone”  Decca Records (UK)  (1961) He was the first UK male vocalist to earn a gold disc; the first to have a hit placed in the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100; and the first artist from Britain to sell over one million copies of one disc in America!  Not bad if you have to be alone.

Here’s a 1974 UK reissure and alternate cover to the previously posted Dot Records Mills Brothers release “Mmmm”  This one on Redefusion Records.  And which brother left his bling on the night table?

MMMM…The Mills Brothers!  Dot Records   (All the songs start with the letter M!  High concept!)  I love these guys!   This is from the sixties, but they were great from the 1930′s on.  I highly recommend you check them out.  Here’s just one:  “Be My Life’s Companion”
