It was a Wednesday night just before Christmas in 1965 on our local C.B.S. affiliate when I first saw the "Charlie Brown Christmas Special".
In elementary school, the "Peanuts Gang" had already been one of mine and many of my class mates favorite cartoon comic strip. But seeing the gang animated in color with voice caricaturization and listening to that WONDERFUL soundtrack music, solidified the present connection that had already been made with us! To me... this Christmas tradition is important as Charles Dickens, Irvin Berlin or maybe ol' Santa Claus himself!

Is this worth anything? I just saw it and a couple others at a flea market for $1 each. I'm really trying to cut back on how much I buy, a few years ago I would have snatched them up without hesitation.
