A couple of years ago an oddball jazz band called Reptet licensed some of Jim Flora's artwork and even recorded an album inspired by his art. He was certainly a strange cat, but very distinctive and influential. Funny thing is, knowing Sauter-Finegan, I can't imagine that this album's cover art would correlate to the music inside *at all*.

The problem with these gatefold covers is the spine tended to wear out fairly quickly. Could be there was too much stress involved if the spine wasn't re-enforced.
