Actually, it’s “je m’appelle,” “tu t’appelles,” etc. You double the L in the present indicative of -er verbs ending in -ler (unless you’re following the 1990 spelling reform, which nobody does). You also don’t add an S to the ending of the first person present indicative of an -er verb.

His “stage” name is DICK RIVERS. His name is HervÃƒÂ© Fornieri, He’s french and he’s still a “real” Rock’n'Roller. He took his pseudo from the Presley’s movie “Loving You” where the young singing truckdriver is named DEKE Rivers. He don’t know, at this time when he was thirteen, that “Dick” really means!

“appeler” is reflexive. “Je m’appeles”, “tu t’appeles”…
